Who says it’s too late to book summer travel? Every once in a while, even amid peak demand, you can find a great fare for a last-minute flight, and that’s certainly what we have here.
These discounted flights will bring you to a place that boasts one of thebest beaches out there. We’re talking about a trip as soon as this week … in fact, if you could be ready tomorrow, you could leave tomorrow.
Round-trip flights from several U.S. cities to Turks and Caicos are less than $300. From New York City and a few other places, you can book a ticket that leaves just days from now and get this fare. A trip later this month or later this summer works, too — just book it quickly.

If you waited to book summer travel only to find you got priced out of the destinations you were hoping for, this could be a great opportunity to get your summer travel slate back on track. That is assuming, of course, that you can find affordable lodging on the islands.

When it comes to ease of travel, I can tell you getting on the islands was very easy when I visited just last month. There’s no entry test, and COVID-19 restrictions are at a minimum. Now, it’s also far easier to get home, with the U.S. testing mandate for international travelers a thing of the past.
With white sand beaches and ocean water that often appears bluer than the pool water (and trust me, the pools are nice), Turks and Caicos is without a doubt one of my favorite places to visit in the Caribbean.

Along with New York, I found Pittsburgh as the other city with ‘ASAP’ availability for less than $300 round trip. There are also a number of cities with round-trip flights at that price point during the late summer months, the fall and beyond. In other words, there are a lot of great deals to Turks and Caicos currently, and now is a good time to book.
Scott’s Cheap Flights was the first to flag the great deals to Turks and Caicos. The site offers memberships starting at $49 for economy deals and $199 for premium cabin tickets.

Deal basics
Airlines: American, Delta, United, JetBlue.
Routes: JFK/EWR/MIA/FLL/PIT/BNA/PVD to PLS.
How to book: Directly through the airlines or Google Flights.
Travel Dates: Some availability immediately and through 2022 into early 2023, excluding the holidays for most (but not all) routes.

Sample flights
We found round-trip flights to Providenciales International Airport (PLS) in Turks and Caicos that fall in the $250 to $300 range. Even if you don’t see your city listed in this story and you live on the East Coast, there’s a good chance you might be able to find flights in the $300 to $400 range from your home airport. You’re not out of luck if you live on the West Coast — I even found flights for about $350 from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
As mentioned, some cities including New York City and Pittsburgh have $285-$300 round-trip availability right away, as well as through the summer. Pittsburgh’s deals are so open that you could spend Christmas in Turks and Caicos (but of course, you would pay quite a bit for your accommodations).

Here are just a few of the itineraries we found:
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to PLS for $297 on American Airlines.JFK to PLS for $297 on Delta Air Lines.Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to PLS for $286 on United Airlines.Miami International Airport (MIA) to PLS for $279 on American.Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to PLS for $279 on JetBlue.Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to PLS for $285 on United.Nashville International Airport (BNA) to PLS for $262 on American.Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) to PLS for $302 on American.You could get the sub-$300 round-trip deal from New York City to Turks and Caicos and jet off as soon as tomorrow. However, I pulled up flights for a few days out to give you a little more time to at least do some laundry and pack your suitcase. It’s a nonstop journey on Delta from JFK to PLS. You can also get nonstop flights on American from JFK at the same price point, with similar prices out of EWR on United.

I’ve also mentioned the Pittsburgh book-right-away options. If you can pack your bags quickly, you could leave at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and be on the island before noon, after a stop at Dulles International Airport (IAD) aboard United. I couldn’t find a comparable deal out of Dulles directly. You’d stop in Newark on the return trip.

For travelers leaving from Miami, it’ll take less than two hours to travel on a nonstop flight to Providenciales.

The best round-trip deal I found went for $262 on American out of Nashville. Just be careful in booking those Nashville flights to Turks and Caicos: Many of the options either required two layovers or one very long stop, including overnight in many cases. I found an August itinerary without such inconveniences, though. You’ll stop in Miami on the outbound trip, and at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) on the way home.

The Platinum Card® from American Express gets you 5 points per dollar on flights booked directly with the airlines or with American Express Travel (on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year). The Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card will earn you 2 Delta SkyMiles per dollar on eligible Delta purchases. The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® earns 2 AAdvantage miles for every dollar spent on eligible American Airlines purchases. The United Business Card will get you 2 MileagePlus miles for every dollar spent on United purchases.

Looking to seize this opportunity for a last-minute getaway this week, fill out your late summer travel calendar or book a fall trip? This deal affords you all sorts of opportunities to enjoy the white sand beaches, warm and beautiful ocean water and relaxing resorts in Turks and Caicos.
Particularly for those summer deals, though, be sure to book quickly because you never know how long they’ll last.
