UPDATE: Anker was kind enough to reach out to assist with my sound quality and audio issues. After troubleshooting a few different things, I found that Anker's suggestion of recording directly to one of the transmitter mics (which each has a 7-hour record limit 🤯) made the audio quality sound MUCH better than connecting directly to my iPhone. Apparently iPhones automatically increase the gain with no ability to adjust 👎.
When I recorded from the transmitter and uploaded it to my Mac to edit, the quality was what I was hoping for; warm, de-noised, and much clearer to listen to. Though it's not a perfect setup, Anker's assistance in sourcing the issue and helping fix it made me decide to stick with this setup in my bag when I'm on the go. Thanks Anker!

I'm a big fan of Anker products, and I was excited for this product to release. Unfortunately the mic and audio quality just isn’t worth the $200-$250 price tag. The mics feel too lightweight and plastic-y, which would be fine if the audio quality was decent. That, however, is not the case. I create UGC and social ads with voiceovers, and recording my voiceover directly with my iPhone’s mic to the voice memo’s app sounded more clear and crisp than recording with the Anker wireless mics.
I tried with and without its noise-canceling feature and there was still so much white noise behind my audio, it was useless. I have a cheaper Saramonic wireless lav mic that sounds leaps and bounds better.
The receiver is nice for it’s easy to read display, but plugging it into my iPhone didn’t feel secure, and attaching it stops me from being able to mount my phone on a tripod when shooting vertical as it’s the receiver gets in the way.
I was hoping for a quick and easy solution to record higher quality audio on the go, but this set up just didn’t do the trick.

To start, I shoot everything with a Sony Mirrorless camera. This coming with a TRS was a solid plus for me. I think mics ultimately come down to three main things when comparing. Sounds quality, build quality, and user interface. So I’ll breakdown those three in comparison to the two other big contenders.
Sound Quality: I think the sound quality was fine. With the internal mic, it’s not the best out there, but also not the worst. In comparison to the DJI and Rode I would say it’s on par, maybe a bit more tinny but the sound quality isn’t too noticeable unless you do a side-by-side comparison. The noise canceling ‘works’ but is a little gimmicky. I think it’s best for emergency situations or on the go iPhone vlogging if you really need to hear the subject. 90% of the time I use a Purple Panda lav mic to hide the big mic on the shirt, and going that route, all three sound the same, and generally background noise isn’t an issue either.
Build Quality: The build quality feels cheaper than that of the more bulky DJI, but it wasn’t to the point that I was worried about it breaking. The magnet on the clips of the transmitters is strong enough to where I would feel confident about putting it on somebody’s shirt or even something thicker like a suit, and know that it would stay on the subject. The charging case works well to protect everything, I’m confident that thing could take a beating if the opportunity came up. It’s Anker so nothing I would say feels ‘cheap.’
User Interface: Okay, this is where this device shines. It comes with a charging case that has both a USB-C and Lightning connector so you can always record to something with a full battery no matter where you are. So that right there is a big advantage over the Rode. The touchscreen interface is also much nicer than that of the DJI. Again, I shoot on a mirrorless so for me it’s as simple as plug and play. The best user interface you can get.
So overall, decent sound quality (best used with a lavalier), good build quality, especially on the case, and the best user interface you can get makes this a better choice than the Rode for sure, and the DJI for the price.

Nice product feels premium. The audio sounds good too but in all fairness I can only compare it to a blue tooth headset mic or the phone mic. I am currently using it with an LG v60 phone and works well but you can only use this via usb-c connection because the 3.5mm jack on the phone or any phone won't support stereo mics. I also tested with a Sony ECM-LV1 Lavalier stereo mic. Even though I am pretty sure the transmitters individually won't support stereo mics, it sounded great. In fact, it was difficult to tell the difference between the audio recording of the transmitter alone and with the external Lavalier mic.
Two obvious misses:
1. The clip on the receiver should have been magnetic just like the clips on the transmitters. This would have allowed for more mounting options... even reverse shoe mount. As it stands there are some slight obstacles or adapters needed to mount the reciever where you want it.
2. The screen should have been able to flip upside down. When phone-mounted and filming horizontally the screen faces to the right which seems wrong. This would also be true for laptop mounting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't fit into Osmo Action 3. No automatic recording without receiver. Random battery drain.
Reviewed in Canada on April 11, 2023Color: BlackVerified Purchase
These things are perfect. I like everything about it. I own basically every wireless mic out there and these are very similar to the DJI mics. The only main difference is the form factor. I prefer the form factor of these mics because it's just a circle and most people don't know that it's a microphone. I wish it came with covers that didn't have the Anker brandng on it. I'm hoping someone can manufacture some plain black ones that I can order so I'm not a walking billboard.
The only thing I wish it had was the ability to automatically start recording the minute I turn it on or take it out of the case. The DJI and Rode mics have these feature, but it's missing on this device. If you want to turn on recording, you need to have the receiver with you so you can turn it on. Sometimes I just like only carrying around the Mic and using it as a standalone recorder, but it won't be possible on this device.
I'm hoping they add this feature in a future firmware update.
One more thing to note, each of the Microphones have 4GB onboard memory which can record up to 7 hours. I wish they added more memory to this thing. Like maybe 16GB so I can record for 24 hours? Memory is so cheap these days. Is it really that expensive to add a bit more?
EDIT: Changed my rating to a 3.
So I'm changing my rating to a 3 because the device was in my bag not being used. Next thing I know, when I opened it back up, the case battery was dead, one of the transmitters had a low battery and same with the receiver. The other transmitter had full battery though which was odd. It leads me to believe that possibly the contact came loose at some point.
Also, I noticed a slight design fault with the adapters. You can't remove the coldshoe clip on the receiver. When I have the USB-C attachment attached, it is unable to fit into the Osmo Action 3 because it doesn't have enough clearance space. If only you were able to flip the adapter around, it could possibly fix this issue, but it only fits one way.
I think I'm gonna return it, which sucks because I really like the design of the actual mics.
EDIT: Changed rating to 4
Mainly because customer service reached out to me and they have been very helpful.
Another thing I noticed is when recording on iPhone, you can only record in Mono. No option to record in stereo or with a safety channel. I'm not sure if this can be fixed with firmware or not, but it's something I wanted to mention.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hervorrangender Kundenservice von AnkerWork
Reviewed in Germany on July 23, 2023Color: BlackVerified Purchase

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic wireless microphones
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 8, 2023Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I bought these as I work as a videographer and I was looking for a good wireless microphone that'd be convenient on the move and quick to set up. I had a chance to test them out today and they are truly worth the money. The case for them is really well organised, sturdy, looks good and will charge them for you on the move as well. The microphones themselves are discreet enough whilst also having the ease of being magnetised as well as clip on. I was impressed by the receiver in multiple ways. Firstly it can clip on but the clip has impressively been designed to be the same size as a horseshoe mount so that it can be mounted to your camera easily. It gives clear instructions on initial start up on controls for the touchscreen, and then from there you can monitor both microphone audio levels and battery levels together as well as view them singularly. The AI noise cancelling was beyond my expectations - I was testing them in a noisy office environment and the low setting cut out majority of the noise without effecting the speaker audio much whilst the high noise cancelling completely cancelled the noise out and had a little effect on audio but not to the determent of it being unusable. They are so good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Will drain sitting in the case. Can't mount on Nikon hot shoe.
Reviewed in Canada on May 1, 2023Color: BlackVerified Purchase
The sound quality is excellent. No hiss, noise or hum. The magnet actually held it securely through the material on my jacket.
I don't know how to stop it from draining while sitting in the case. I tried shutting the units off when I stow them, but they come back on by themselves.
I could not mount it on my Nikon ZFc camera hot shoe. It would have required so much force I'm sure I would have broken the plastic clip off the receiver.
I needed to mount it so it faced forward since as a creator, I'm in front of the camera, not behind it.
I couldn't find an answer to this problem, but I was able to make a workaround by purchasing this - NEEWER 8 PCs Hot Shoe Mount Adapter Kit.
The hot shoe adaptor allows an easy slip on solution - forward or back and room for 2 other things to be attached. The kit also includes adaptors that screw into a standard tripod mount like those on the sides or tops of a camera cage.

First impressions have been great so far. This worked flawlessly with my Fujifilm camera and computer. I love that there's different colors offered. I wish you could choose a mismatched set, just grab the transmitter that matches the outfit. With the additional covers, you can paint them and make them fit your vibe.
I have the DJI Mic as well. This one sounds good. I sound a little higher pitch with the built in mic on the AnkerWork vs the DJI. Using a lav or external mic, I sound the same. I miss the record button from the DJI unit (you can record audio just with a transmitter), but otherwise, AnkerWork does wireless audio great as well. AnkerWork lets you trigger recording remotely from the receiver unit, so there's pro's and con's to both. The M650 firmware can be updated through the charging case. The DJI Mic needed me to update each unit separately. Both can record safety tracks. Both are great. I just choose whichever one I can hide better on my outfit. Yup... I just bought this because it offers a unit in white.
On my Sony camera (a7iv), the provided TRS cable did not work. Switching to another TRS cable worked.
The noise cancelling works well. Low is great, the high works well if the situation calls for it but is aggressive. I haven't noticed any wireless interference.
For work meetings, vlogging, cheap wireless lav solutions, this is great. I just deducted one star for needing to buy a different TRS cable.
I would recommend this to a friend.
Update: On Sony, switch the output to aux-high (headphones) instead of the camera line out.

The build on these is nice, but I haven’t had a chance to try them yet. The app, on a iPhone 14, crashes immediately upon opening. Doesn’t instill a lot of confidence. Posted an email to support and haven’t heard anything yet. It’s been a few days. I’ll probably wait until midweek then return if I haven’t heard anything back.
Update:
While it did take some time to get back they did within a few days. The app is not available on the iPhone and they’ve indicated they’ve updated the at information on their website. They offered a partial refund but I think the mics will still be useful for our application. There’s onboard storage and it will plug into a Mac, which is likely where most our work will be done anyway.

For context: I'm a content creator who's been in the game for a while now, and I understand and value the importance of high quality audio. I ordered 4 different lav mics at different price points, these being the highest end ones I got. As compared to the $80 pair, the sound quality was almost identical, even when I pulled the audio into pro tools and thoroughly analyzed it at all different gain levels and noise cancellation levels. I do love the magnetic clip, the charging case, and the user interface, but there are a couple connectivity issues that kill the product.
I had these plugged into an iPhone and recorded multiple videos. To my dismay, when I went and played them back, audio cut out fora few seconds at a time, and there wasn't any error message on the receiver throughout the whole session. Another issue then popped up, when I was recording, the receiver displayed that it 'lost connection was lost to the transmitter.' I was two feet away from the receiver, so that truly is a bummer.
I read through some reviews and found that the audio quality was a lot better if you recorded straight to the device. However, the whole point of a lav mic is convenience, and to have the audio directly attached to the video, rather than having to manually match up the audio to the video.
Overall, this was a huge letdown because I really enjoy the aesthetic, build, and user interface. Noise cancellation is also 'meh', makes your voice sound very tinny.
I love the shape, look, build, and user interface of these, but I'll be returning them

In general, it's a great on the go microphone. Easy to set up and clean sound in general for such a small package.
It doesn't do as good of a job at noise cancelling as to it had advertised. I can still hear dog barks, mechanical noises in the background even with high reduction on.
The battery doesn't last as long. The case also discharges very quickly. For a bulky case and being an expert on charging, I was expecting more from them.
If sound quality is really important to you (podcasting, song recording) in the video and you don't want to do any post-filming enhancement, then get a real mic. In a pinch, this could work.

Purchased this to test alongside my DJI mic. I would definitely recommend this over the Rode Wireless Go II (even with the new charging case they just announced).
Things I like:
Charging Case; big RX screen; detachable magnetic clip for TX units; standard/non-proprietary internal audio recording; colorful case and tx/rx units; noise cancelling is effective
Things I don't like:
Have to connect charging case over USB to get internal recordings; charging case large compared to DJI Mic; tx units don't have usb, have to charge via case; noise cancellation can make audio sound tinny; no basic black/white colors

I've bought a lot of wireless mics for various production projects, and the thing I value the most about the Ankerwork mic is how easy it is to set up. No extra app, weirdo cables--just plug and play with my Android phone. Pairing it to my laptop was a bit trickier, but not any more than setting up any other mic with a USB-C cable. The audio quality is very good, although I was expecting a bit better on the noise cancellation for echo. It does very well with wind. Overall, I recommend it because it's so easy to use with a phone.

I probably sell it and get something else 🥺🥺

To show support of my vlog career, my wife bought me this wireless MIC as a gift. I wasn’t sure how it will work out at the beginning, but later on as I tried it, it’s definitely worth every penny spent.
1, it’s wireless, it definitely looks a lot more professional when do a session with your guest and talk in length, when you jack each head to yours and your guest’s shirt, it’s definitely better than waving my iPhone around.
2, Anker’s design looks a lot nicer than the similar product out there like a black mole on your chest
3, of course the record effect is very clear and effective.
4, I like the open box setup, meaning, when you open the box, everything is already set. Mics and receiver are automatically connected. No special setup needed. So you don’t have to keep your guest wait
5, for interface, it can adapt to both iPhone, usb-c and audio jacket. Very flexible.
This is a good gift.
Thank you my lovely wife!

I've tested a lot of wireless lavalier devices, so here is my feedback on this unit.
Pro:
- great sound, at par with the Rodeo wireless Go, maybe even better.
- noice cancellation is great as well
- screen on receiver is beautiful I like it!
But thats where the pros stop, here are the boos
Cons:
- bulky, check the picture I attached, the box is as big as my hand
- the microphones are big, same size as Rode's. These are this size because of the audio intake design which helps improve audio quality
- the worst part that annoys me is I can't figure out how to turn it off. Even after I insert the microphones back into the case, I can see the light is on and the receiver is reading it.. AHHH, I am trying to save the battery, but it doesnt work.
- Microphones are heavy, so it will sag your shirt down.

Received my AnkerWork M650 Wireless Microphone for couple of days now and I would like to share my thoughts:
1. This product (charging case) has 2 colors to choose from, black and white, but they actually provide you more colorful covers, so when you want to try different color theme, you don’t need to pay extra money for accessories.
2. I mainly use it for my iPhone, it’s very easy to set it up. Just connect the receiver with my iPhone, no extra step needed!
3. Right now I am making videos for my family, so I use my phone to take video in one room while I’m carry the wireless microphone in another room or even basement, the sound is still crystal clear.
Overall, I think it’s a user-friendly product with a high end/ fashion look.

Trying to pick out a gift for my best friend. She has struggled in the past with the quality of voice recordings when standing away from the camera or phone. This little microphone hit the pain point of recording.
She said after a few days of use. The round shape fits well in almost any suit. The noise reduction is great, even in the strong winds near LA beaches. But she does have one small complaint about it. The plastic cover doesn't feel like high-end quality. Other than that, for the price, it feels great and the sound quality is great.
A brilliant product for youtubers and vloggers.
Update by my friend:
Better recording sound quality compare to DJI and Rode in similar scenes. Especially in noise cancelling.
Easy to use with the receiver's control panel and APP, quick deploy when in need to use

I am able to use three different setting of noise cancellation technology which allow me to choose better mode in different scenarios. The microphone can both record at the same time for collecting audio from two people at once. This is so cool! Another reason I like it because M650 comes with strong battery. I use it everyday and battery still work after I received it a week ago! Good product!

It's marketed as if you can use this with your phone for calls and conference calls. However, that's not true with Android, for the most part. Whatever app you're trying to use must allow for specific source input. If not, it won't work.
For instance, if you're using Microsoft Teams to take a call/conference call, you can't choose it as the mic if you want to use the m650 as the mic and a headset to hear the call.
And they have no plans to add this to the AnkerWork app (I emailed and asked). They also said in the email that you can just use the RX receiver with your phone to use to take calls, but that's simply not the case. This has been tested by 3 others in my company that also bought it due to the misleading marketing.
On a PC/laptop, it works great (because you can choose the mic source). But on your phone? Nope.
This is clearly geared towards "content creators". I'm sure it's great in that aspect, since you're recording and not taking live calls.
It should be noted that the "not for conference call" note was added AFTER preorders (probably because a few people brought it up).

I really liked these mics. They seemed to work well. Audio quality is decent...but that doesn't mean anything if they don't save your audio files. I had a video shoot yesterday for a project where the client was paying $2k. I had the receiver plugged into my camera so it would record the audio directly to the sd card. I was also very careful to hit record on the receiver for every take so I would have some backup audio files saved on the microphone. I had maybe 15-20 takes each about 8min. On a few of the takes I did not have the audio gain on the camera adjusted correctly, but I thought, "no worries, I'll just use the audio that the microphone had saved to its internal storage since I had also recorded it to internal. Well now it's the next day and I go to pull off those audio files and there are only 3 there. Only the last 3 files that I had recorded. All the other files are gone. Since my mic failed me it cost me this $2k job. Do not rely on them. Spend the extra money and get the DJI or Rode mics just for the reliability. Who knows what else would fail if I were to continue using them.

I took these on a 3,800mi motorcycle trip. Did a bunch of Insta videos, a few short videos in hotels (both via iPhone), and then a 3-hour conversation with a friend (recorded directly to receiver). Zero issues. Noise cancellation/prioritizing spoken voice seemed marvelous. Everything was comin' up Millhouse.
Then I get home and recorded a 2-hour podcast across four 30-minute sections in a controlled environment. The 3rd and 4th sections kept dropping 2 seconds of audio every few seconds, starting within the first 10 seconds of both sections. 1-hour of recording time completely lost. There were also a lot of audio anomalies - pops and snaps that never existed in the environment. Heck, the one time I accidentally touched the mic didn't even create this issue.
Spent this morning re-recording the last hour. It's no longer cutting 2 seconds, but is down to a quarter- or half-second. Didn't ruin the audio, but further ruined the experience. Still has those same weird pops and snaps, too.
I love the design. I love the ease of use. But these are completely useless. Back to the bulkier ZOOM H6 setup for me.

I've been needing to upgrade my mics and decided to give these Anker ones a try. They come in a nice case and the mics look, sleek and cool, with interchangeable faces. They were pretty easy to set up with my Canon Dlsr camera and phone. Overall the sound is pretty decent, it's loud, crisp, and clear. My voise doesnt sound weird or static like in my videos. Sometimes it does cut out when recording though which can be annoying, mostly when I'm too far away in range. I like that the clips are magnetic and these aren't too big and bulky. I will say the noise canceling is not very good, I could still hear almost everything in the background. So when I use these it had to be mostly quite around me. They aren't the best Lavalier mics I've used, but they aren't the worst either. I will continue to use them, but will be looking for a better set soon.

This is a great wireless microphone system with sleek aesthetics to boot. It comes with two mics, and a transmitter, along with a charging case that doubles as a storage case. However, at $249.99, its fairly expensive for what it is. That said, its the most discreet wireless mic system that I've ever seen, especially with its ability to change the color of the mic covers to match the subject's clothing. Still, not sure that makes it worth the price but I digress. Mic quality is really good with excellent noise supression. The transmitter is easy to setup and use as well. Great battery life and I love that it comes with a charging case. Great kit overall, just a little expensive that's all.

This wireless microphone set has amazing quality as well as detailed settings. You can set the sensitivity of microphone levels are quite detailed. You can also check the levels on the main receiver unit can also monitor from the main receiver unit. You could also set your noise floor and lock the receiver unit as well. You can choose to either use your transmitters for the microphones, which also have muffled "dead cat," wind suppressors or you can plug in a lavalier microphone to clip to your shirt. The actual transmitter, unit can either clip to your shirt or whatever item nearby or you can use the magnet which the clip part comes off of the transmitter so that you can hide the transmitter behind something, so it's not seen on camera while your voice still gets picked up. The receiver unit is designed to either slide into a cold shoe mount or clip to an item nearby so you can keep an ion it, and levels of the microphones. Unfortunately, the receiver unit does not have a microphone on its own unit so this shit only technically comes with two microphones to be able to control. However, a great thing about this set is the fact that it has onboard storage, so you can actually record to the receiver unit. This wireless microphones that has a long range, so the two microphones can be spaced away from each other. This wireless microphone, Lavalier said was well thought out with every detail. I hope the next iteration of this will allow for more microphones to be cascaded from or to this unit as well as the receiver being able to be used as a microphone as well. This also comes with iOS, lightning adapter, as well as a USB type C adapter for the receiver on top of the 3.5 mm auxiliary output jack. The charging case allows for long stents of using these wireless microphones when they do run out, which also takes a long time as well. This comes with two color plates on top of the fact that the original color plates on the transmitters are the same color as the receiver I would assume to be able to identify each microphone. I would like to be able to order the individual face plates separately as well in the near future. And it's also has a nice carrying case to put the charging case inside of whenever you're on the go. Even though this is quite pricey, this is an awesome microphone set!

From the packaging, to the weight, to the feel, to the design, it just feels like quality.
The microphones and the receiver all charge in a nice and fancy box (think really nice ear buds), but the box is much nicer a
Than ear bud box. Just nice quality all around.
The microphones comes with a charge of case and some scary looking wind guards.
This has good range and great and clear pick-up.
My biggest beef is the design of the plugs for the receiver to plug into your iPhone. It attaches to the bottom of the receiver, turns, and then is supposed to plug into your iPhone. But it is a bad design. If you have a case, you have to remove it. Also, the receiver is large enough it could cause problems with some mounting or tripod mechanisms. It’s not huge, don’t get me wrong, but it, in essence, makes your iPhone an inch +/- longer. Depending on your mount, this might not work. Don’t forget, you have to remove your case. I use an Otterbox and the plug just wouldn’t work. What it really should have is a cable instead of this “fancy tongue” to plug into your iPhone. I took off a star for this and thought about taking off two because this almost makes me not want to use it. Very, very bad design on a product that was otherwise designed extremely well.
I’m happy with all other aspects of this, just wish they really thought that part through.
Overall, really nice and high quality, with one exception as noted above.

For the price, I was expecting these lavalier microphones to be really high in quality. I wasn’t necessarily expecting the highest studio quality but maybe some entry level studio quality.
Let me talk about what these microphones did right. First of all they are very aesthetically looking. I like the portability factor of them and they are just simply easy to use.
What I think they could improve on is the sound quality. It is not the worst that I have heard, but I was definitely underwhelmed. The price of these in my opinion is relatively high for what you get.
If you are looking for something that is portable and efficient, these might be the right product for you. If you are looking for the best sound quality, you might need to look elsewhere. I hope this review helps you make an educated purchasing decision.

As a beginner and what I’m using it for its been wonderful to learn with so far and I cant wait to progress and become more knowledgeable.

The M650 Wireless Lavalier Microphones by Anker are a quality set, that offers you an almost professional level way to record your audio of choice. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.
I. Quality – The quality of the set is nice, but not the best on the market. I’d put this one in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for lavalier microphone sets and guess it should hold up well over time.
II. Performance – I found it easy to set-up and use with a very small learning curve. The sound quality is better than most of the cheaper sets, and about on par with its competitions at this level. The magnet way of attaching the mic is a little worrisome, but seems to be strong enough for all the cloths I tried it on. The user interface is very nice, I like using it and adjusting things much better, then with its competition. You can really adjust a lot through the touch screen. The included case is protective and fits things well. The biggest negative to me is the size of the mics is large and very noticeable without coverage. It’s not a performance thing, just the visual part that bothers me.
Overall, the quality, performance, and interface outweighs the larger size, making me very happy with my choice. I constantly get chances to use these and always appreciate them being part of my audio team. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.
You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

The AnkerWork M650 Wireless Lavalier Microphone is my first lavalier microphone, so I do not have any personal experience with other brands and models to compare it to, so my review is from a lavalier newbie, lol. I have a decent number of Anker products and they have become one of my favorite brands. To me, Anker represents a quality, well-built product at a competitive price.
My teenaged daughter has been using a lavalier mic for a while as she creates and streams content for both her gaming server as well as for her car club that she started. She recently started putting on a weekly car show and she uses my old Sony NEX-7 mirrorless camera and her lavalier mic to do interviews, so she had to teach me how to use the AnkerWork M650 Wireless Lavalier Microphone, lol.
Luckily, it was easy to learn and use this mic, so I was up and running in no time. I am using it with my Sony A7 IV full frame mirrorless and the sound quality matches the image and video quality of the camera (which if you know anything about the Sony A7 IV you know that it is saying something!).
The noise cancelling is top notch and eliminates most, if not all, depending on the environment, excess noise. The receiver has a nice touchscreen that is easy to use as well. One thing I had to get use to, is the size, the transmitters are a little on the large size, but I figure they needed the room to fit all the amazing goodness into them! They do come with swappable covers so you can mix it up if you don't want to use the black ones.
So far, the AnkerWork M650 Wireless Lavalier Microphone is working better than expected and I am very happy with the results. I can definitely recommend the AnkerWork M650 Wireless Lavalier Microphone!

Okay, while I will preface this by saying I do not have experience with a competitor, such as the Rode or DJI wireless mics, I have to say, I am very pleasantly surprised (but am I really? It's Anker...) by the quality this produces.
While it might not ultimately sound as full or robust as its counterparts, I think it has some serious potential and for those who are maybe looking for a solution such as this but want it at a slightly more affordable price point, then there's no arguing this should be strongly considered. I will slap a disclaimer on this review by saying I paid a fair amount under the full retail price, so I consider this purchase that much stronger.
Naturally there will be trade-offs along the way. The form factor, for one, might be a turn off for some. It is a little bit larger than say the DJI wireless mic.
What I enjoy is the ability to quickly and easily manage a lot of the features directly on the receiver. I don't need to plug the receiver into an app just to update settings to the mic ecosystem (compared to the Rode). I think this is more likely to go toe-to-toe with the DJI mics and it might ever so slightly tilt in DJI's favor, but considering how new this product is, we might not have seen just everything it has to offer through software and firmware updates, so I'm curious to see how the team develops this based on early feedback.
I have still yet to try out all of the configurations, but I will say that I tried one of my lav mics by inserting it into the lav mic port did not see any sort of monitoring. I don't know if that's the expected behavior such that you are inserting an external source into the mic and therefore it cannot operate the same. I need to play around with that a bit more, but initial recordings were quite favorable with the most common configuration I believe we'll see which is using these independently. It was very quick and easy to record, save, and export - hint: if you plug this into your computer, you can change the button on the mic to mark audio instead of mute, very helpful to jump to important segments of the audio with a visual cue.
Without getting my hands on a DJI unit, it's very hard to tell whether or not this 100% competes with it or if you should spend a little more and get the DJI unit, but overall, so far, I've been very happy with the output this has produced, both standalone and when connected to my PC for recording in Audacity.
This opens the door for a lot of content opportunities and I'm glad to be in on the ground floor! Anker has continued to impress me over the years.

I'm a big fan of Anker products. Just looking around my desk area I count at least a half dozen and that doesn't include items that I use exclusively for travel. Anker makes first rate products that work when you need them to. They're dependable, well made and highly functional. No surprise that this wireless mic set fits that description.
There's a few nice touches that really stand out. The charging case/carrier is sleek and looks like it belongs to a premium product. I really like the colorful covers though I'll probably only use the white and navy blue colorways. I like the magnetic attachment method though you can also clip them on. The mics pair to the receiver instantly and automatically.
Sound quality is very good, noise cancellation is good, range is good, etc. I've tested a ridiculous number of wireless mic systems over the past few years and while I can't say the sound quality, noise cancellation, etc. is dramatically superior to the top brands at the price point it's definitely in the mix. The reality is that most wireless microphone systems at the price point are very good. Battery life without the case is what you'd expect for a mic of this quality, but you can get a full 15 hours with the charging case.
You'll never go wrong buying an Anker product and this is no exception. The form factor is really sleek and a bit different from anything else on the market. This is true not only of the transmitters but the receiver. I tried it with several different smartphones and a couple of DSLR cameras and there was no trouble getting it to work. At this point, there's still not a mic system that stands out from the crowd in terms of functionality. That's why I have several wireless systems since different ones work better with different devices. I'd like to see Anker strive to make a definitive system in terms of quality and compatibility. They're off to a good start with the form factor. Overall, highly recommended!

I do have to say that I really like Anker as a brand which makes me like these mics even more.
Very good quality, the box/charger/carrier is very nice and sturdy. I like that it holds both USB-C and Lightning adapters in the same place.
Sound quality is good too and I have not even tried to use the recommended software. Mac, iPhone, iPad and Galaxy 23 have been used to test flawlessly. Compared to other compact mics I have, the sound is a bit on the small side, but that's not a dealbreaker for me. I have not compared it yet to a more known brand just yet.
The magnet is a huge plus when working with wardrobe that's not meant to be used with mics.
Once I play with it more and get the Rhode I am waiting for, I will compare and update the review.

Love the UI of the M650. Hands down the best interface I've used. The touch screen is easy to ready and straight forward to make adjustments on the fly. Recording quality is excellent in both indoor and outdoor settings. Noise cancelling even on the lowest setting definitely helps cut down on background noise. Charging case houses everything neatly to be charged. There are also replaceable face plates that magnetically snap on and off, which is a nice added touch. All in all I'm very happy with the M650.

I have multiple wireless lavalier kits but do not have the gold standard, the Rode Wireless Go. Most of my other sets are direct competitors for that kit and have microphones with screens and more buttons.
That said, I really don't think this set competes directly with the Rode Wireless Go. It seems to be aimed more at mobile use as it comes with USB C and lightning adapters in the box. This is not the case with other "pro" kits. It is much more fashionable than any of the other usual wireless lavalier kits and the interchangeable face plates seems to reinforce the idea that these are microphones you can feel good about seeing on camera. This is probably why they don't have screens on them.
Battery life is pretty good but I've not gotten 6 hours of continuous use. I definitely get 4 or more hours and this is at 0 gain with noise reduction on low. It may be that noise reduction reduces battery life, but I find it beneficial to keep on to reduce household sounds as most of my use has been for calls. Now, it does not appear that the microphones are aimed for this use. But this is the most common use case for me and I've tested all of my other wireless lavalier kits for audio and video calls with no issues. I also haven't had any major issues with this kit for that purpose. As with any other wireless lavalier, you can use the built-in microphone or attach a wired lavalier.
Performance compared to my other wireless kits is comparable but it does not best any of them. Where this kit excels is not necessarily in sound quality, but in overall features and fit/finish. It is no doubt the best looking set I have and the charging case with built-in battery is the best setup I have. It's much better than my Saramonic kit, which also has a battery to charge the devices, but the battery is not nearly as reliable. Anker does know how to make batteries and I've not had any issues with the devices being dead in the case because I left them in the case for a few days. And even without a screen, the blue light (and flashing red light when the battery is low) makes it easy to see whether a transmitter is good for a recording session. The charging case is also much smaller and more attractive than the Saramonic charging case. It definitely comes across as more of a consumer product than a pro audio product.
The screen on the receiver is also perhaps the nicest of any I've used. It's small, but it has a color touch screen that is easy to use and responds well. For the most part, I was able to use everything without having to rely on the manual. The noise reduction feature works reasonably well but it's not perfect. If there is a lot of noise in your space, lavalier microphones are very good at picking it up. Noise reduction does help resolve/eliminate lower constant sounds like heaters and air conditioners, though.
My biggest complaint with this set is that my kit has two transmitters that perform differently. One transmitter sounds clean and natural in the way I'd expect a lavalier microphone to sound. The other transmitter picks up more noise than my voice and while it improved somewhat after a firmware update, it still doesn't sound as good as the other transmitter. It's almost as if they have 2 different pickup patterns. Anyway, I get around that by using it exclusively with a wired lavalier connected to it and that has resolved that issue.
The Anker software seems to be almost necessary. There were firmware updates available for both the transmitters and receivers and I've already mentioned it helped somewhat with my issue with one transmitter, at least in terms of reducing excess noise a bit. You can do many of the same things with the touch screen on the receiver, but sometimes it is nice to see things on a bigger screen. However, this means this kit is not optimized for workplaces that don't allow you to install software on your machine. I put the software on my personal laptop and updated them that way.
It is also helpful that you can record directly without a camera, mobile device, or computer. It's a good safety net. And I had no issues with range for this set although I did not try to use it from 600 feet away.
Ultimately, this set is not really targeted to me for my normal use cases. It's really aimed at vloggers, interviewers, perhaps podcasters on the go. It's not intended for audio and video conferences. It can work for this purpose as I've used them this way and I love that the receiver can be plugged into USB C and function for an entire workday and the battery life on each received means I can swap them out and get a full day of work out of them. But I really should probably stick to my Rode NTG or my Rode NT1 for that purpose and honestly, I probably will. This is a good set for mobile recording, though, and I can recommend it as a set to consider for that purpose.

I tested these out with three different phones: a pixel 5a, an iphone 6 and a Samsung galaxy S9. It was only compatible with the iphone.
When it's compatible, these lavalier microphones are incredible. Plug and play, great sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, super easy to use. Absolutely a dream.
When it's not compatible, it doesn't work at all. Even though the hardware fits the other two phones, nothing happens.
I won't say this is the fault of the product, just make sure to check compatibility prior to ordering.

I love that I ordered the one with 2 in case I ever want to bring someone else on, I won’t have to share my mic with them. The sound is definitely enhanced in comparison to my phone mic & is pretty clear when listening back

Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2023 I want to emphasize that this product is 2 in one: is a wireless microphone system but also is an audio recorder and mixer.
Good audio and you can enable noise cancellation for a cleaner audio.
Easy to use and excellent battery life
I wish they had a hard shell case for carrying around and not the faux leather pouch that they give but this is a small detail and not a deal breaker.
This gives you more value for your money because you will be able to for instance only record audio for your podcast: no need to connect to a camera or phone, the audio will be recorded in the transmitters. Audio is saved in WAV format and you can retrieve the audio by inserting the transmitter into the charging case and then connect the case to your PC. Works fine with Windows 11 and there is no need to install the Anker software.Report

Features highlights:
- 7hrs of uncompressed internal storage
- 650ft range hence the name
- Noise cancellation is among the best
- Receiver has a beautiful display that’s extremely easy to read or use
- Case is beautifully designed with a spot for the adapters (iPhone and Android)
Overall I really love the design and quality product here with my only criticism being the proprietary connectors for not only charging but also adapters too.Report

I've not tested it up to 200 meters, but it has definitely never dropped signal on me. If you use wireless mics for interviews or otherwise, check these out!

Okay, I'm using this to enter the text for this review. I plugged the Tx into the computer with the USBC cable and left it in the charging case. I placed the lavalier microphone on my chest and began to dictate into speech texter, which I will copy and paste into this review and therefore don't have to use my keyboard. I don't know anyone else who might like to do that, but I found it beneficial.

5.0 out of 5 stars AnkerWork M650: Stellar Performance, Top-Notch Service, Game-Changer for Newbies!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 7, 2023As a content creator, finding the perfect microphone felt like a challenging endeavor until I discovered the AnkerWork M650. After extensive research and comparison with products from DJI and RODE, I decided to give this newcomer a chance. And boy, did it exceed my expectations! It provided everything I needed and much more.
Sadly, life threw a curveball, and the lightning jack broke off the receiver after an unfortunate mishap. However, AnkerWork's customer service saved the day, shipping me a replacement part in under three days. Their commitment to a 'low-level Youtuber' like me was genuinely heartwarming.
Performance-wise, the M650 stands as a star player in my home studio setup, outshining my lights, cameras, gimbals, and lenses. It's incredibly easy to set up, and I use it for everything from OBS and GoToWebinar live streaming to video calls with clients. The sound quality and noise removal features surpassed all my previous microphones, including the Blue Yeti.
For those venturing into the world of content creation or seasoned pros looking for an upgrade, I can't recommend the AnkerWork M650 enough. It's not just a product; it's an investment that pays off from the moment you start using it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic wireless microphones
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 8, 2023I bought these as I work as a videographer and I was looking for a good wireless microphone that'd be convenient on the move and quick to set up.

5.0 out of 5 stars No covers despite the deceptive picture that suggests otherwise
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 10, 2023Its a great piece of kit. Unfortunately, it lacked any of the covers as shown in the picture, which would be handy to tell them apart. The listing does say that it comes with 2 replaceable covers, but I assume they are referring to the matching black ones that ship with it rather than the multicolor ones on the photo. I reached out to Anker and they offered to send me a full set of covers.
Besides that, the audio is great quality. Pretty good at filtering out background noise and the handy charging case is much easier to work with than the Shure wireless mics I have been using.
