AMAZON REVIEWS FOR Silent Pocket SLNT Faraday Waterproof Backpack Signal Jamming Faraday Bag Protects Against Identity Theft with Signal Blocking, Protect your Data and Devices during Work, Travel, Hiking

Bag works great and did a few test upon receiving it. Bag seems water resistant but not “waterproof” which isn’t a big deal to me. However, the overall build of the backpack itself seems really cheap and not thought out too well, when it comes to the shoulder strap set up. I wish the straps were just straight rather than have a curve to them, no matter how i adjust the straps they both push into my neck (like being choked) and it’s very uncomfortable to wear for even a couple of minutes and I’m a pretty skinny dude. All of the pull straps have a smooth finish to them which has me wondering if they will just loosen up on their own or end up tearing over time. Luckily I purchased this on prime day at a decent price and will be keeping the bag. I would probably send it back if I payed full price. Overall it does what I need it for and still happy with the product but may decide to purchase individual sleeves that I can put into a more comfortable bag in the future

Was concerned that this backpack was going to be too bulky based on the other reviews. This is not the case. I am 6’3” and it feels and looks like a normal, sleek, spacey backpack. If you are under 5’5” it may look big on you, just like every other backpack though. (Sorry has to make a short joke)

It is very slim, even with four textbooks, a laptop, and a hoodie. It rolls up nicely to your liking and the straps are comfy and distribute the weight nicely. Anti theft zippers on the outside pouch is a nice addition.

Right when I got it, I tested the faraday cage capabilities. I placed my phone inside for the test dummy. I have a Garmin Fēnix 5x smart watch that syncs to my phone. I placed a call to my phone, and nothing popped up on my watch. Bluetooth and WiFi block, check. When I took my phone out of the bag, it took about 30 seconds to show 1x data and then connect to WiFi and Bluetooth. The missed call from myself didn’t appear for another 10+ minutes. Cellular network block, check.

This bag is exactly as described.

The waterproof feature works flawlessly too.

Highly recommend!

Update: I thought this bag would be everything I wanted in a Faraday, waterproof backpack but it is just not very durable and it isn't even a very good Faraday cage. It worked great for about 6mo but as the bag started to wear just from basic daily use the Faraday material has failed. Now, just 2yrs later, i can stick my phone in there and seal it up properly and call the phone and it will ring! I have also put a portable Bluetooth speaker in there and sealed it and was able to play music through the bag with my phone which was outside the bag. Finally I put a wifi Hotspot in there and did the same thing and was able to connect to it and the internet just fine!! I was so excited about this bag especially because of Michael Bazzell's endorsement of this company and I don't know if I've been more disappointed in a product in a very long time. So 2yrs of daily use, nothing more than going to work on the bus and occasional plane flight and not only is the bag no longer waterproof but it is no longer a working and functional Faraday cage! My 20year old North Face pack shows less wear and tear than my Silent Pocket. I want to love this bag so badly but because of the extremely poor workmanship, total lack of durability, and very high price I just cannot endorce this company or this product. I even own a smartphone case from Silent Pocket and have had the exact same problems. It's really too bad because had this back functioned as it should have I would have been a huge champion of this product and this company. Unless something drastic changes, I will not be unfortunately.

When I Ordered I thought I was getting a Grey backpack not an ALL BLACK. The photo showed me a GREY Silent Pocket Faraday Waterproof Backpack and thats really what I wanted since I had other black backs. Could you explain what happen or correct me if I was wrong...If you look at the REVIEW PAGE even that one shows I wanted a GREY one.

I like this faraday bag overall. The construction is very durable and I carry 3 laptops and a few pads. The top of the bag is built like a conventional dry bag, but not quite as sealed.

Pros:
1) Very well-made.
2) Water resistant, rather than waterproof.
3) The inner large pocket blocks out cell signals, the smaller one for phones does not. Someone called me when the bag was closed.
4) Large capacity.

Cons:
1) Expensive.
2) Not waterproof.

I've had the bag for a few weeks. It passed the test of putting electronics inside and seeing if any signals get in or out (none did), and it appears to be sturdy and very high quality. The only downside and reason for subtracting a star is that it's huge. Too big to be a low-key backpack. You will stand out wearing this thing due to it's large size. I wish they had a 15-18L version. The 10L bag by Silent Pocket looks nice, but it is a little smaller than I want and I want a backpack (for transporting a laptop around). Buy it if you don't mind a very large bag.

I am happy with the backpack, my only complaint is that the photos make this backpack look grey, it's actually black. Very poorly represented by the photos. Otherwise no issues with the pack.

I tested the product by putting an AM/FM radio inside. As soon as I put the radio down in the bag, it lost the signal. The radio station is just a few blocks from my house, so it was getting a very strong signal. Also it is larger than expected, which is a plus for me! Love it!

Bought this as a gift. We had tons of fun testing it out. Phone calls went straight to voicemail if put in back pack. Looks really big at first, almost too big. But when you start using it, you realize it's a great size and you can fit a good amount of stuff inside.

The claim that signals from a phone or laptop can cause health issues is false. Their is no documented health benefit or detriment for a faraday bag. Otherwise my review would be 4 out of 5. This bag is great no need to make false claims.

If you have a newer wireless router similar to my Xfinity one it puts out 6G and zips right through it. Beware with powerful cell signals and wifi they will go through.

I've had this bag for about 4 months now and I never travel without it. Here's what I like the most:

1. The compartment is huge and I can fit other bags inside including my daily backpack.
2. The front zipper pocket can fit my 15" Macbook.
3. It has saved me many times in tropical rainstorms. I travel to Asia frequently and I frequently get caught in the rain.
4. It's the perfect size for a weekend trip and can be used as sling pack on the front along with my other backpack on my back.
5. It's really comfortable for long hikes.

There's not one single scholarly, peer-reviewed, reputable study that indicates that EMF or radiation from mobile devices is harmful to humans. None, zip, nada. That's because that magnetic fields are way too week, and radiation from phones is non-ionizing. Remember, LIGHT is radiation, ordinary light. Unless your device emits X-rays and gamma rays, you have nothing to worry about, and this is fear-mongering at its worst, and scummiest.

This backpack has been great up until I noticed signs of wear and tear along the roll-down flap. I’ve been using this pack for about 6 months.
