At 2,392 meters (7847 feet) tall, Mt Bromo is not among the tallest of Indonesia’s mountains but its stunning beauty lies in its incredible setting. Mount Bromo is part of the Tengger Caldera, an enormous crater which comprises five volcanoes surrounded by a vast area of sand.

Mount Bromo's breathtaking and ethereal landscape has been swooned by many travelers, who mostly hike up nearby Mount Penanjakan in time to catch one of the world's best spots to watch the sunrise.
